kaginaCaptain Timothy Kagina Mazimpaka -Director of Missions

Is the current Director of Missions at Church Army Africa, Nairobi Kenya.  He did his primary, secondary and part of the University studies in Rwanda. Timothy who survived the enter-ethnic cleansing of 1994, moved to Kenya in 1995 for safety and healing.  Passionate for evangelism, he joined in 1997 Carlile College of Church Army Africa, where in 2000 he was awarded a Higher Diploma in Theology by St John and Mark University (UK). In the same year he joined All Nations Christian College (UK) for a Degree Course in Missions [(BA Hons) in Biblical and Intercultural Studies]. Upon his return to Kenya, Timothy was seconded by Crosslinks, a UK Missionary Agency to join the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS-Kenya)- a Christian ministry among university and College students. Between 2007 and 2009, he served as the FOCUS Regional Coordinator for Nyanza and Western Kenya regions.

In 2010, Timothy moved on from FOCUS to do a course with DALC Education (Kenya) and was awarded PGD in Management of Non-Governmental Organizations. He is currently pursuing his MA in International Development (Missions) specializing in Global Civilization with William Carey International University, CA, USA.

Timothy’s rich cross-cultural experience, godly character and leadership qualities allow him to work effectively in different contexts anywhere in the world. His main goal in life is to glorify God and to make Him known and experienced in a world full of idolatry, suffering and confusion brought about by the forces of evil.

Timothy is married to Rachel and they are blessed to have four biological children, two daughters: Janviere and Jedidiah; two sons: Jabez and Jubal; and an orphan under their care called Pierrine.

nancy 3Nancy Njagi – Director, Centre for Urban Mission

Nancy is currently serving God at Church Army Africa, Centre for Urban Mission as director of the centre and providing leadership to 6 grassroots programmes that equip pastors, evangelist, and church leaders serving among local churches in at least 17 informal settlements of Nairobi, Kenya.
She also serves as the secretary to the scholarship committee that runs a portfolio of 62 School of Mission Students at Carlile College. She is also the secretary to the Fundraising and Partner Relations Committee of the board of Church Army Africa.
Nancy has a Degree in Community Development from Daystar University, a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from United States International University in Africa, a Diploma in project management from Kenya Institute of Management and is currently undertaking a Masters in Development Studies at St. Paul’s University.

  josehJoseph Wanjau – Finance & Administrative Officer

Joseph is the first born in a family of two, and is married to Teresia Mbaire. His passion for Christianity has come through his bringing up in a Christian- value home. He joined Church Army in 2014.

Joseph has spent most of his childhood in the Coastal Region, Mombasa Kenya. He went to high school in the slopes of Mt Kenya, Central Province and returned to the Coastal region for his college.

He is now a C.P.A.(K) holder with a Bachelors in Business Management, Finance option from Moi University, with more than 8 years experience as  an accountant,having worked for various firms

Rose Maina-Secretariat AccountantRose Njeri Maina – Carlile Accountant

Rose is a born again Christian married to Peter Maina  with whom they have a son David  and a daughter Esther. She is the third born in a family of five and has been brought up in Christian values. She started working in Church Army from 2008.

Throughout her working period, she has met different people with different backgrounds and it has been an encouragement to her seeing how people relate well  in this organization.

Through the devotions, Church Army Africa, she says, has lifted her spirituality. “I grow to love the Lord everyday as I serve him here and also do my work with passion. I hope and pray that Church Army Africa will continue with the good work it is doing throughout Africa “.

sophie 2 Adhiambo Sophia Sharon – Legal Liaison Officer

Sophia  joined Church Army early last year 2015 and works as the legal liaison officer for the institution.  She holds a Bachelors of Laws from Kampala International University, Post graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law and CPS 3. She is planning to pursue her Master degree in the near future.

hilda Hilda Akelo –  Office Administrator

Hilda is  a God fearing lady, first born of four, born and raised in a christian background. She joined Church Army in 2015 and states that she enjoys working here because it is one big family that looks out for the needs of one another.
” Being here gives me a sense of belonging as well as getting to meet people from different backgrounds.”
Encountering different challenges enables her to become better in her work  and her personal life. She embraces a motto from the verse in Philippians 4:13 ” I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me”
She studied in the Western region of Kenya for her high school and holds a Bachelors in Hospitality.
Values that she embraces include honesty, sincerity and transparency, enabling her to exercise good interpersonal relations professionally and personally.

 

caleb Caleb Omollo Raila-Headteacher Church Army Academy

He is a Born again christian, married to Ann Mwende,with whom they have a son,Timothy.  Caleb was brought up in a christian family.

He joined Church Army Academy in 2008 and was appointed the Deputy Headteacher, a position he served for 6 years. He was appointed the Headteacher in January 2014, working also as a Mathematics and Science teacher in the school.

Caleb has gained a lot in Church Army Africa, both spiritually and in his teaching experience. He enjoys interacting with the children and working with fellow staff from dynamic society.

One of the main challenges that he faces as the Headteacher, is that the school is overwhelmed with the increasing number of needy children,i.e orphans who cannot pay the school fees, but believes that the provision of education is to be provided to every child no matter the circumstances, in order to grow the next generation leaders of our country.

His expectation for the Church Army Academy is to grow it to be among the best excelling school in Eastlands and in the country.
